This is definitely a weird part for sale on Ebay. I have only heard of one 3 speed manual shift Vette. It was a green 68 Vert / 327 that an old lady Professor drove around Statesboro @ Ga. Southern College in 68 - 70. Strangely...I saw a green / 3 speed Vert for sale a few months ago in Savannah, Ga.....which is only a few miles from there. Even after almost 40 years....it had to be that same car.
The three speed manual was the base transmission through the '69 model year. You got the 3 speed if you didn't order an optional transmission. Almost everybody and his brother went from something other than the 3 speed which is why you don't see too many of them. I've seen a couple of 3 spd '68s, but no 3 spd '69s.

welll there are two things going on there
fist its a 68 shift console which is hard enough to find, second its the 3 speed shift pattern plate, which i have never actually seen before
Ive got half a mind to buy it just for grins and giggles
That is one RARE part and going for very cheap money!
True! And an essential part if you are going to create a 3spd clone and sell it for big bucks as a rare rare car!!! come to think of it... there are probably a couple hundred of those plates around somewhere (mostly in landfill) because most of the 3 spd cars were probably converted to 4spds many years ago.... which makes the real 3spd survivor even more rare!
