Default rusty windshield frame

i'm stuck...?
i have to replace the corner brackets of the windshield frame and the windshield frame itself from the pillars up.

i just need to know where to cut properly and how to seperate the frame so i can fit the new parts in properly to achieve the same support and stability

thanks - steve

Steve,
The replacements will probably not fit correctly so you're going to have to watch this. I would tack weld some braces in place before you cut anything out so it doesn't twist or change angles. You're going to need to weld, grind, and fabricate to fit them. On my 69 I had holes the size of silver dollars in each upper corner. Instead of cutting them out I cut out the rot and got some .040 sheet metal and welded them in place. The repair is unnoticable and stronger then before.
Good luck
Gary

thanks...

it's just the rust is in such awkward places and its so bad it needs to be replaced. i am just worried about the corner brackets (dash to pillar)
it looks tricky and i am not a professional welder.
