California Smog Test
Need advice on getting my 76 through the Smog test. Has a new turn key 350 fron engine factory but still test high CO.

Others have claimed to make sure it's tuned up, increase the idle a bit, and make sure the cats are really hot. Good luck

Do you know what the readings for CO and HC's are? CO readings can escalate for a variety of reasons (of course like anything else) but check it for vacuum leaks and make sure the EGR valve is working properly.
I don't think that getting the Cat hot is going to help with Carbon Monoxide but I could be wrong.

get 3/4 tank of premium and 1/4 E85. That'll knock those CO levels down a bit.

In addition to EGR valve mentioned above, get fresh oil change, plugs, tune carb(clean) and get the cat good and hot...
Good luck
