I have the same problem with my '74. I've heard/read that the only way to get at it is to "remove the master cylinder", pull out the reservoir, and replace the pump. Geez. I can't believe there's no easier way. And if there's not, I'll wait for the master cylinder rebuild (power brakes on mine) to replace the washer pump.

you may not have to take the container all the way out, I got mine out by taking the container loose, then uses a deep socket to take the nut off inside and slip the motor/pump out of the bottom

since i dont plan on using my washers, i just took a utility knife and cut the bottle in half........ no, i'm trying to remove the charcoal canister and i think i might have to take off the MC....wtf......unless i fond another way
