Someone else may have more info but the last time I did it I removed the interior trim, which was brittle so be careful, and then I pushed gently on the upper corner from the outside and it started to separate so I just continued slowly across the top and after that just pushed it on both sides and it came right out.
The sealant on mine didn't have much hold it seemed, so yours may be harder. I know sometimes people have pushed a piece of stiff wire (piano wire) through the sealant with a small screwdriver and then pulled it across the window, from both the inside and out to cut the sealant.

Good luck,
Frank

After removing my rear window trim, covering the body
with a tarp, and letting it sit outside .... the sun heated
up the interior enough that mine fell out. Luckily, no breakage.
Yes - my 75 - not the 70.

So, I agree with the first response. If it doesn't come out easily, just
try heating with a blow dryer for a while. You could also cut the seal
with a knife from the outside, but I don't think there is a real need to.

You can also consider a retro-fit removable rear window. All the places
are there to install the hardware. Then, you need window, frame, latches,
guides, and new roof panels.

Window is attached/sealed with butyl rubber ... just like original windshield.
Butyl rubber is a sticky black rubber that doesn't harden.
Butyl rubber "tape" is readily available at most good auto parts stores.

Is the seal a black caulk or is it rubber? Do you have to put a new one in?
