Trim Tag small print always there?

Trim Tag small print always there?
I bought this Vette a few weeks ago and Im trying to figure out what I have. From all I can tell its a 1982 Collectors Edition with FE7 suspension but the VIN tag says its a 1980.
Maybe stollen or rebuilt?
Anyway, the trim tag just has the paint, plant and trim (that dont match the CE colors) info with no fine print on the lower section, is this normal for a 1980-1982?
And another question, theres a cross bar on the frame that has a notch in it, maybe for dual exhaust? Is that custom or factory. Ill take a photo when I get a chance.

Not sure what all you have for information, but see if any of this helps at all:
VIN for 82 should be 1G1AY8786C5100001 THRU 1G1AY8786C5125407 (ninth digit varies, it's a check code)
however, if you have a Collector Edition, it should have a 0 at the sixth digit of the VIN instead of the 8, and also your hatchback should actually be functional (raises and opens)
Your paint code should be 59.
You should have a power antenna.

Thanks JUSBAD, I looked up the VIN when I got it and it says its an 80. Ill double check the paint code.
It has the CE, paint (I think its original) full interior, power antenna, emblems, bronze tops, CE wheels, lifting hatch and cross fire hood. I have the crossfire set-up but now it has a edlebrock with Holley carb. I guess I need to check and see what year the motor is from.
Maybe someone welded a new windshield post with a 1980 VIN in? Hell, who know.
