Just a couple of exterior shots - six years apart but mostly in the same spot. My goal was to keep it as stock looking as possible. Added complete new suspension, new supercharged fuel injected engine, new transmission, new ignition, new seats, new fuel system, new electronics, and new hood. Almost done...almost out of money... Now the stuff remaining is cosmetic...
Six years ago - fall of 2000. Gas was about $1.15/gal. I had tons of hair. A year before 9/11!!
This week. Look at how much the foliage has grown. The driveway is almost always in shadows now... Got a better camera too!
But what about more detailed pics Jer? How about them seats? Racing harness? Any newer engine pics?
Where do you come up with these smilies??
I've got a ton of newer pics, but it seems to take so much time getting them put up on the site. I've got so many other personal issues distracting me at the present. I'll probably have more time as fall rolls around and hope to get them on my web page asap.
I haven't done too much with the interior other than install the seats. Just regular seat belts at this point. The seats wrap around so much I haven't really had a need for anything else.
Q. same paint & wheels?
Yep - actually, original factory paint. It looks better in pictures, there's a lot of dings up front but that's because I actually drive it when I can.
From the camera angle it appears you were a lot taller 6 years ago
You need to put that new camera in good use and snap few dozen new pictures of that beauty! Awesome car. ANy questimates what were you total engine cost? I'm leaning towards a whipple build up too...
By the way. was there no way to lower those seats??
Thanks!
Do you mean the back of the seat? The butt part seems to be lower than my old stock seats. The back is higher than the old ones because they have a built-in headrest and the old ones stopped at shoulder height. These are about the same height as my head, and they are well under the roof. They just look high in the pictures because of my shrinkage...
