Default Reworked speaker install

I finally got around to redoing my speaker setup. My first attempt, while functional, wasn't exactly the clean install I was going for:

So I broke out the power tools and went after again. Thanks to a pattern on the Corvette FAQ, this is what I came up with:

Looks like I need to move the amp over a bit to center it up.

They look nice, and there's still room for t-top storage.

Also went ahead and mounted a fire extinguisher while I was already back there too.

Thats awsome!

I have a couple of the smaller versions of that exact same amp. Thinking of doing the same to mine except make a full once piece speaker baffle / shroud to just let the front of the amp show through.

I'm toying with the idea of painting the the amp cover and speaker grills the interior color next time I make a dye order.

Xakk-Could you show the link to the pattern you mentioned? I tried FAQ and advanced search, and didn't come up with it. I'm probably not typing the right words I'm interested in doing something similar to my 68 as my current enclosure takes up too much room-Thanx

I think this is it...

http://members.***.net/~mfouchi/vett...s/boxplans.htm

I'm going to do mine similar to that and build a removable dual 10" enclsure for sunday drives

I was going to build a massive subwoofer enclosure / amp rack back there but after really thinking about it....I cherish what space I have and want something removable.
