According to the Corvette Black Book code 52 is yellow for 1980 only. The L26 for interior does not compute for either year.

That would be my guess. Could have been a "L" production month 80-82.

Kursed: What's the VIN of your car?

Thanks guys, I did find some old yellow paint in the wiper area.

The tag on this car only has these 3 codes.
l26
52l
8062

The rest of the plate is blank, smooth, no other information. Is that normal? My 68 has all the small type below the trim tag info.

Post the VIN off the windshield post. We need to know the year of your car.

I26 is probably the time build code
52L is the exterior color.
8062 does not make sense

Bright Blue Metallic = 1 of 40,606 produced?

Can this be accurate for 1981?
Only ONE car made in this color?

Also I never realized the 4 speeds were so rare in the 80-82
