Default Wiper adjustment

Yes, we've had our summer here in England so welcome back rain for the next 10 months... My wipers work fine but they sweep out beyond the window frame! How do you adjust the sweeping area on my 75 coupe?

Thanks
Simon

The assembly instruction manual (AIM) has a page outlining the procedure for this adjustment. Not sure, but it might also be in the chassis and service manual.

OK ,thanks Mike. AIM on order (your suggestion from last time I believe!) together with some other parts on back order. Erm, can anyone give me a hint in the meantime?!

I had this same problem, wipers would sweep past window and get stuck on my 68

I did two things first in the center of the car, where the wiper arm connects to the motor, there ar 4 bolts, two per side that you can loosesn, and then slide the wiper arms inboard to reduce the sweep.

second you could simply bend the wiper arms at the blades inboard for minor changes

cheers

My advice is to follow the procedure in the AIM. Bending wiper arms is the last thing you want to do.

If you have to bend the arms.. you have some major problem. Possibly the wrong arms. The adjustment screws should take care of any adjustment.

Welll when i said bend the arms, I am only talking of tweaking them, the problem is that the moving parst are 37 years old on mine, and even full bringing them in was a little off, bending the last bit was easier that taking the arms off and repostioning them is all

cheers
