Default Car Cover question

My car has been freshly painted and is due out of the shop within a week or so. living here in sunny S. Fla, and only having a carport I need a car cover. I recently began researching and found several which claim to provide extra uv protection (sun shield). Anyone have any experience with them or recommend another brand?
thanks

I'm very happy with the Wolf 'Noah' cover. Keeps the car dry in light rains but in a downpour it does soak through. Just don't put a cover on with hot sidepipes! I learned the hard way and melted the cover on my pipes! What was I thinking?

Not sure on which cover you should use, but check with your painter. I had my '78 painted awhile back and asked them about covers, they told me it wasn't a good idea to put a car cover on a freshly painted car as the cover would shift around and leave fine scratches in the paint.. They told me to wait at least 3 months before I put any cover on it. Just spray off dust often with water. Even after waiting a few months, I used a 4 layer cover with soft wool inside and still found some minor scratches...

thanks for the input, .Ill be talking to the painter at the end of the week when I pick up the car. I never considered that a cover could scratch the paint...would really suck after spending all that $$

I got a Wolf cover from Ecklers and it's 9 mon. old and I'm getting a real fine dust on the car now . It's the same color as the cover so I know that's what it's from. Called Ecklers and this girl told me to wash it in Fantastic. That's a spray cleaner for tile . Any one else have this problem???????
