I re-painted my headlight buckets and assemblies last night using base coat / clearcoat ppg Torch red paint.
Everything looks great and had one questions
I painted my headlight assmblies (top section) and set them to one corner of my shop. I then proceeded to clear my buckets.....after everything was said and done I noticed that some of the clear overspray in the air had settled on my assemblies.
They are still super slick looking and shiny but have a slight gritty feel to the surface.
Can I use a light buffing compound to remove this excess overspray w/o hurting anything?...if so what brand do you suggest?

I agree. Clay bars work extremely well removing overspray. Just keep it lubricated with spray detailer while you use it. Mother's has a nice clay bar kit which is available at most local Auto Zone type stores.
Quick question, whats the best tool to buff the clear. I'm using the 3m brand of compund ( three various grit bottles) A buffer / polisher or a pad attached to a drill etc..
