Are you sure you just dont need the pin and bushings, what is the problem with the one you have.
Well - I believe I need a new one because the door is allow to swing out too far. The fiberglass at the front side of the passenger door gets damaged when you open the door fully. My thoughts are because the driver's side hinge (upper) had a slight crack in the area where the hinge 'overlaps' itself and kinda has a blockstyle 'C' shape.
So I am thinking there is a hairline crack in the hinge and it enables the fiberglass door to hit the hinge.
I did check Mid America and they have hinges - but they are remanufactured and most important they have no upper right hinges at all.
I just sandblasted my right side door hinges and gave them a quick dip in Phosphoric acid.
You ain't getting your hands on these babies ... but if you need any
pics - PM me or email dave@NHvette.com.
If I were you, I'd pull them out, disassemble and sandblast.
At that point, you can inspect - bend any distorted portion - and weld any cracks.
My bushings/pins were super tight, so I will reuse them. You decide on yours.
I actually bought a set last night - that will be coming in next week. THey are used, but suposed to be pretty nice. The CF member was real upfront, fair and gave pics - so I expect to be smilin' next week ! But if that does not work - I will take your suggestion.

Kaiserbud,
I had this problem with my 68 driver door and it made two small holes in the fiberglass where it was hitting. It turned out that the "S" shaped spring was missing. Once that was replaced, the door no longer hit. Of course, I now had to have the fiberglass repaired, but installing the "S" spring prevented the door from swinging open to far.
Works perfect now and nothing hits.
