Intake Question......
I just brought my intake manifold to be cleaned. When I get it back can I paint it? I don't want the aluminum look. I have painted all my brackets and water pump chevy blue and I want to make the intake the same. Will the paint effect the manifold in any way? Thanks.

How are you having it cleaned? I'm considering this myself and would like to know as many options as possible. Post pics of the cleaned manifold before painting if you can. Thanks!

I am having it done at the local machine shop. They are boiling it in a tank of some kind of soap. I did not want it bead blasted because of the rough surfaces inside the manifold. I am not sure I would get all the media cleaned out. The machine shop guy told me it would look like new. I will see tomorrow morning.
