not ruffled at all.............just wanted you to know it's driven & not a trailer queen............could'nt agree with you more........after 3 years locked in the garage, how could you not drive it ?>although at one point i was paying $3.69 for super 93 a few months back per gallon plus 2 cans of octaine boost, @ only 6 MPG getting only 120 miles to the tank, it was costing near $100 to fill up & almost $1.00 per mile to drive.........talk about EXPENSIVE !!!!!!!! Yeah, they do want crazy prices for da smog!
I thought the samething when putting my car back together. But, that damn fuel filter that sticks up like a sore thumb, bugged the hell out of me. Being a natural born cheapskate, I kept looking for smog parts for my 68 through the all the various sources availabe and finally came up with all the 68 pieces. I've got around $400.00 in it.
I'm not sure if it is true, I have heard that the smog being on does not have any effect on the horsepower

thats the stock wheel, it's the same as a 67, it's not wood, but rather simulated wood, it changed to black in 69 & was also one inch diameter smaller. The plates are original 1968 new york plates that i restored. Ny state allowes you if a car is older then 25yrs to use a plate from that era if the configuration is not being used. it gets registered as a "VINTAGE" PLATE....i got real lucky, found the plate that said "G0-1968" on e-bay it was not a personalized plate. it was just produced in that order, the next plate off the production line could have been "G0-1969" OR "GP-1968" AS "P" COMES AFTER "0" OR EVEN "F0-1968" AS "F" CAME BEFORE "0" ETC.........GOT A BETTER CHANCE OF GETTING HIT BY LIGHTENING THEN FINDING A PLATE THAT MATCHED THEY YEAR OF MY CAR THAT WASNT BEING USED THATS NOT A PERSONAL PLATE / MADE UP THAT WAY..........UNCERTAIN THEY HAD PERSONALIZED PLATES AVAILABLE IN THE 60'S ???? ANYWAY THERE YA GO.........ZIXXX PACKER
