Stamp looks good to me.....if you are really worried look at the date code on the block, and other parts....do they fall in line with your build date?
if way out you have a problem.
But you would have to be a sad restamper to go though the trouble of getting the # height right but screw up when you bang on the stamp
Just another Monday car

Exactly- plus using the 'toetap' infers that you are becoming impatient with others.

BTW- writing in ALL CAPS is considered shouting (not appropriate) as does putting things in bold type .

I see you have another thread where you are now quoting NCRS and Bloomington policy with respect to non 'matching' numbers on an engine.

As fas as I recall you're not an NCRS member or judge.

For someone who is new to the board as well as being an obvious noob to the Corvette hobby, you may want to chill slightly.

Default Chill Slighty ??

Seems like your the one who's uptight, i'm not new to the corvette hobby, with 3 vettes in my collection ( see CORVETTE magazine Sept. 1992 issue ) & # 4 on it's way shortly, i'm not " NOOB" as you put it.....

I am an N.C.R.S member ( # 37067 ) & i'm not new here either, signed on a few years ago, possibly even before you ! I lost my e-mail & lost passwords & started over.

Who are you the forum POLICE ????
so much for ***uming............., you know what happens when ya do that, it makes an....@** out of you...........& i think you know the rest.............don't assume, & if you cant be nice, play somewhere else...........like in traffic, that might be a good place to start..........it's quite obvious your last post has ZERO MERIT !!!

&&&&&&&&&&& i think it's quite accurate to state your that not going to get a Bloomington Gold or an N.C.R.S Top Flight with the wrong motor............so what was wrong with mentioning that ? Are you stating that i'm posting the wrong info, or do you just like to complain about EVERYTHING ??? was only trying to help someone answer a question someone posted..........you could have answered it for him, but appears you would rather POLICE the net with rules & regs & typo info etc..........
better go play in traffic it's more your speed........

Move on & chill yourself.............

Alberta is 255,287 square miles in area, approx. 5 times larger than New York state. Maybe you would want to be a little more specific as to location?

isn't it nicer to just ask where your located ? instead of acting like a KNOW IT ALL WISE @**...........does the world need to know that Alberta is 5X's larger then NY STATE & 255,287 square miles in area ?
i'm done with you & your bad attitude dude !!

Well because you're wrong, that's why. I can't speak about Bloomington, but it's entirely possible to get an NCRS Top Flight with the 'wrong' motor.

Since you actually are a member, you have had all the opportunites available to you to learn how the judging process actually works, and not '***'ume thing like you've done and pass on incorrect information.

Good luck, I think you'll need it.

"I THINK I THINK I THINK I THINK I THINK "
since you cant read it i'll bold it for you i said "I THINK" meant i'm uncertain, .......did you also misread the phrase " HIGHLY UNLIKELY ???
....not only are you rude, but you can't read either, if you have nothing nice to say, DONT SAY ANYTHING AT ALL...........you did more assuming in one paragraph then anyone does in a week...........no merit pure speculation. Why not be polite & offer your input in a professional manner, and not be so damn rude !!!
i'm done........not wasting any more effort on MANNERS .......TAKE OFF......ayyyyy ? your already there..........now stay put !!!........!!

The big huff is...............well, check the price differences in 400 hp & 435HP cars vs 390's a documented tri power car could be worth as much as 50% more money then a 390 car & a 390 car can be as much as 50% more then a small block car.....depending on the car & documentation.....the proof is in the #'s , the tri power cars are among the most sought after motors & command the most $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ therefore they are commonly altered / frauded to be sold as a "REAL TRI POWER CARS "
kinda like the difference between an old hemi motor & non hemi motor........therefore before you pay the big buxxx you want to make certain it is what it is supposed to be. When you get in the $75,000 plus catagory you dont want to make a mistake.
there are many 67 tri power cars that have exceeded $250,000, thats what the huff is about..........thats big big big money........!! ZIXXX PACK >>>>

Please don't lump 400 and 435hp cars together as they are two totally different beasts, apples v oranges.

A super clean 390 is always going to get more bucks than a "Barn Find" 400 tripwr , and while i'm at it.........whats wrong with small blocks? Do you know what an Lt1,L84 or an L82 is for that matter ?
You speak of cars in the 75k area,is this what you think your 400hp is worth?, may the force be with you.

Hemispherical, non Hemispherical, if you don't know the difference don't go Mopar hunting.
Corvettes owners maybe not be as simple as you think, better cars get better dollars(dollars, now there's a word your familiar with). Money, can u spell it.....................of course you can.

cheers

FIRST OF ALL.....Mr. DUNDEE...your tone is not appreciated..........don't know about where you live as everything is AUSbackwards anyway, all conditions being equal a 400 will bring much more then a 390, why your comparing a barn find 400 to a super clean 390 makes no sense, most super clean cars are worth more then barn finds. F.Y.I there is about a three to one production ratio of 400's to 435's making it more rare there were approx 3000 / 435's made and only about 1000 / 400's made. I don't know of many small blocks that bring more money then documented original tri power cars. That may be they way down under, but not here in the GOOD OLD "YANKEE" U.S.A". better cars do get better money as do the ones that less of were produced, making them much more desireable. If you would rather have a mint 390 for the same MONEY as a mint 400 then may the force be with you ...you would remain on your own....FOOL !!
P.S 75k area, noone quoted saying thats my value, i can be quoted saying that you woulnt want to make a 75K mistake, but look at some recent prices they range from the 40's to 100k for the correct documented tri power versions & over that for 1967's
P.S.S lets not comapre apples vs oranges lets compare smarts vs no smarts ok ?
it's quite obvious that a 400 is closer in more aspects to a 435 then to a 390. *** YOU ALSO KNOW NOTHING ABOUT MY CAR NOR DID YOU ASK *** So how could you possibly have a clue as to it's value........another guy just ***uming !!!
NOW TAKE ALL YOUR HUFF & **** OFF .......

Default Apples Vs Oranges

APPLES VS ORANGES drastic difference.........and the last time i checked at a fast or even steady glance a 400 & 435 look exactly the same, the only fast way i believe you can tell is the looking at the sticker on the air cleaner that says 400 or 435 withought that decal most wouldnt know which is which...........!!

Default For Secret Squirrel-

I think the word '******' means the same in Oz as it does here, and
we've both seen a prime example of one.

I wouldn't thank me too quick, I was referring to you as the ******, not Secret Squirrel.

You're just reinforcing my opinion with your over the top posts beating up on people because they 'dare' have an opinion that does not match yours.

Have you tried anger management therapy?

a 400 hp car is just a 390 car with the tri power, 435 has diff heads, cam, sway bars, usually shocks and ignition ususally different (ie all tri 435 cars came with TI ignition, other were opitional. both are great cars and will bring very big $$$ if in nice/restored condition. My motto is TO EACH HIS OWN, and DON"T BADMOUTH OTHER PEOPLES CAR, my humble opinion only. whatever you got or like enjoy it and if others don't like what you got, oh well life goes on.
