Default Modified '75 Vette What is it Worth?

I have my brother's '75 modified vette. He recently died & I have some people that are interested in buying the car. I need some opinions on what the car is worth. The only details I have is he was the original owner, milage is 26,000+, T-top, the color is bronze original paint, sadle interior, ac, chrome side exhaust, the engin is chromed, hurst 4 speed, aluminum cylinder heads, new camshaft, new 4.11 rear endgear. The car was shown in several car shows and has won 1st place. Please help.

Hey Dukie,
You are posting in the wrong area... but there is a solution: go to this link for the For Sale/Wanted area for that model. Browse for cars and see what they have been going for lately.
http://forums.corvetteforum.com/forumdisplay.php?f=56

There are also LOTS of Corvette Sales websites with cars and asking prices, and even books with recent auction prices (Check Amazon.com for books)

Cheers!
Welcome to the forum.

Just check out Ebay and see what people are wiling to bid for an original or restored 75.

75 in Excellent condition can go for around $15,000?
It may go higher if someone really likes the color but I'm not sure if bronze is that popular.

There is no guideline pricing for modifications.
Mods will only add extra money depending on whether the buyer really likes it and whether he is willing to pay extra for them.

Your vette may not have 26,000 miles on it unless you have documented service receipts and a history of DMV registration.
If he is the original owner, is there an original sales receipts?

Anyway, you have no pics posted so its hard to say what it might be worth.
Need more info.

Put it on Ebay and see how high the bidding will go... it'll be best to list it near spring or summer for more bids.

It sounds like a $10k+ car, but without pics and even inspection, it is hard to tell.
Rusted frame is always an unseen concern.
What part of the country did this vette live in ?

Also, you can go to the "for sale" section and post a thread asking
for opinions on value. Pics will go a long way in helping this.

Prices will vary a lot. Location and condition will affect the price. The thing to keep in mind is that is a 30 year old car. Some parts wear from use and other things tend to age and need replacement. To get the most out of it, hopefully he has some service receipts showing the milage over the 30 years. Sounds as though this one may be on the higher end of the price scale.
Any chance of someone in his family wanting the car?

I don't think I could sell my brothers vette if he owned one or any other collector car like that if he died......would bother me too much.

Good luck with the sale and my prayers with him
