Progress on my first project car!
Hey everyone, my 75 coupe is comming along! I pulled the tired motor and tranny out and just need to finish repainting the engine bay before shoving the new powerplant in. I originally planned on building my stock 350 into a strong 383, but the neighbor to my shop had a new crate 350/350 hp he was willing to sell for $1500 with shorty headers and a 700 carb. I couldn't pass the deal up, especially when saving $ is a high priority to a college student, haha. I also picked up a new rebuilt Muncie 4-speed for $700. I should have the car running in two more weekends (I'll be in Talladega next weekend), and I can't wait! Once I get it runnin' and on the road, I plan on customizing the interior by changing it to black leather with silver suede inserts and a few other touches. I have A LOT of blocking and sanding to do also before I repaint the car metalic blue (I think I'm going with the blue found on new Nissan 350z's) with a silver-metalic stripe down the cowl. I'm enjoying the hell out of this project! Here are a few pics of the progress, let me know what ya think!

Redbad, I've gotten more questions about that picture than I could ever have imagined. I get at least 2 e-mails a week asking about how I did that.
I have a buddy that says it looks like crap and that it's a "gangsta" ride. I guess you either have to love it or hate it with no in between.

Shorty Headers
Trent I would be interested once you get the motor back in just how well those shorty headers fit, I was not aware that they slid in the C3 vette's without mods.
