After hitting the Guard rail at the drag strip last month I have been trying to get my 79 vette back together. Both the passenger quarter and fender suffered extensive damage. I also bent the passenger trailing arm. I was able to straighten it. But I now have it in paint. I just have to wet sand and put it back together. The pics don't do the paint justice. It is a GM color Red Rock. It has a rasberry hue. I also added some House of Color blue pearl to the first layer of clear. It looks awesome in the light. The first pic is the before.

Tomorrow I have the task of wetsanding and buffing. I hope to have the car complete tomorrow night. The only thing left to decide is what color pinstripe to put on the car. I liked to look it had before with the pinstripes.

I don't think I am going to go with the hood stripe. At least for now. I am going with a pinstripe on the fenders and quarters like I had before. I think that the red is a little dark for the hood stripe to look right.
what side pipes are those, not trying to knock your car, but they look too short. I only ask cuz i'm going to buy some soon and I want to get some feedback thanks, paint looks awesome!
as far as the side pipes they are the Patriot ones. They are mounted 2" too far forward. Frankly you wouldn't want much longer. I will sii If I can get a pic of the 69 camaro. It is tubbed with a big block. His wife has an identical car only small block and not tubbed. I spent all day wet sanding and ther is still more to go. I should have it all wrapped up tomorrow. I will have all my emblems and new pinstripes on and ready to go.
