Bayou State Corvette Show
Anyone going to Lafayette, Louisiana next Saturday to the Bayou State Corvette Show? Check it out at this website: http://www.bayoustatecorvetteclub.com/ I think it's going to be a great show! I'm going down to Lafayette on Friday night.

I will be there, unfortunatley my car is not ready 
, we had a good turnout last year, we had over a hundred corvettes entered. I will be helping out with the show and checking out all the cars. vetteguy are you entering your car? the plaques they are giving to the entrants are nice. hope to see some forum members there.

ps, the show will be at Bennigans in the parking lot again this year, it is benefiting special olympics.

Nope can't make it. Still Rebuilding from Hurricane Katrina. I have someone coming over to help install granite counter tops. But I am taking off friday to go to cruising the coast over in mississippi.

I have seen that guy around town a few times. I laugh everytime. Got the exhaust on and actually drove down the street yesterday. Got a little tweaking to do.
I am 90% sure I will be at the show on foot though.

The bright side is; Hooters is there in case you need mouth-to-mouth on the way to Bennigans...Hop the fence right into Hooters parking lot.....
So; if you got one of them doc buddies of yours with big $$$$$...tell him the batmobile can be bought with or without spare parts that day.

But not entering anything. My car isnt done, been on hold since I bought a home and have renovated it over the last 4 months. Even If I were done dont see me ever entering any contests with it. I look at everyones cars here and on the net and dont even consider mine in the same class. I just dont have the ***** to attempt to enter a contest. I just enjoy working on her and fixing crap that was broken. But with that said, I'll prolly still show up and drool over eveyones rides anyway.

I might head out there with the girlfriend. I can't bring my vette because I can't get my car insured for a reasonable price.
I'm 22, store my vette in a locked garage, have no traffic violations, and have another daily driver, but still can't get classic car insurance because my daily driver's insurance is on my dad's policy.
It sucks, but I guess that's the breaks - guess I'll have to wait till I'm 25... $700 for 6 months is too rich for my blood.

OHHHHHHH yeah, Kevin is definatly a "wing" man....well; he was my wing man one night while we trolled Johnson St. looking at some tasty treats...hehehehe.
I do have one of them cars that you have to be ALL legal or the po-po's stop you....even if its to take a pic of the car....they do it on Jefferson St. with their camera phones...made me wait under a green light one night.

BTW---Paul....I trolled Pont Breaux a couple of times looking for you...stopped at that old daquari place on Main St..
I once turned around in that garage parking lot (down from Wal-marks)...they must of thought I was you; cause all their jaws were hanging while the headers and side-pipes rumbled out of their lot..........

...the last day, I dropped a doe out of a tree stand. We came back durring rifle seaon for the buck... Nice country!!! Didn't use a rifle though...44 Mag!!
