Default Seat track spring

Do any of the part vendors sell the latch spring for the seat tracks? I broke one of mine, and I haven't found them in the catalogs. The hardware store doesn't have anything even close.

I know that Corvette Central does (if you mean the spring that keeps the lever engaged into one of the track holes). It drove my wife crazy when her seat kept sliding back and forth while driving.

I have two spare '77 C3 seats. If one has the spring you need you can have it.

Matt, thanks! You're not using the tracks for your Celica seats? The spring is on the side of the seat track with the adjustment lever. It keeps the lever engaged in the lock hole.

I'm actually using the tracks that came on the Celica seats. It would have been too hard to adapt the Corvette tracks tot hem, so drilling new holes is easier.

All the springs are there, so whenever you want it just swing by and it's yours.

Mine was working well (for a while) with a heavy rubber band attached.
Take a spring from top of screen door ... cut to size and bend the last
turns for hooks.

Sounds like something I would do. Knowing my luck it would break at the wrong moment.

That's because you would have powder coated that rubber band before installing it...and it would be weaker as a result...

they sell a pack of different size & strength springs at Lowes. At our particular store they were on the aisle in hardware with all the nut & bolt drawers. I lost a spring but found one in my shop instead of trying those but they looked to have one of that strength.

Hyperchiken - I'm gonna be available all weekend during the days so just call me when you want to swing by for that spring and the seatbelt buzzer. Later mate.
