I just started looking for my next car. I'm looking for a mid 70's and need to know what to look for. I know different cars are knowen for rusting out in different places. Can anyone tell where to look for rust and stress cracks. Where are the weak spots on these cars and anything I should just stay away from.

the frame and the birdcage. birdcage is the metal surrounding the passenger compartment. search on birdcage and rust. you will find many stories.
