I'm sure that paint job cost him a few bucks. Nice car for someone. Not my taste. Maybe it's the rims. I just don't like those at all.
If it had some other rims it might not look that bad.

Bad-*** paint/rims on the wrong car. Would look much better on a street rod or G-machine. Not on an '80 Vette. Current bidding price reflects the seniment.

get rid of the flames and change the rims to a non-spike look and that car would look tough.....

Looks like a nice custom, but the rims are not my taste, I think a deep-dish rim looks better on a c-3. Clean car except under the hood needs some work.

Alot of the money that went into it should have been spent on making the engine compartment look the rest of it. Not money worth spend IMO

I don't like the paint or wheels either but this is a clean 81 for under 10K and I think that's a good deal.

The second vette is nice but again not crazy about that paint. Never got the whole it changes color thing. I do like the grills but the middle section looks like a big tooth "bubba". I would put a cross flag plate in the center. $20K is a lot of $$ for a vette that looks like a "pimp my ride" runner up.

He could have spent less money on the paintjob and rims..... went with a solid color and factory rally wheels or aluminum stockers.

With that money saved put towards detailing the engine compartment and I bet he would have gotten the $10,000 from his "buy it now"

With a paint job and rims like that, makes me wonder why it looks like he hasnt spent a second under the hood. I wonder what (if any) maintenance he has ever done on it.

Reminds me of the cars you see on the "tote the note" car lots around here that do thier own financing.......they basically take a car that needs a TON of work.....slap a flashy paintjob on it and mark it up 300% of what the actual value is......usually attracts the 18-20 year old market or people that can't otherwise afford the car w/o financing it.

I've seen the type of paintjob done on old s10 "work trucks", 3rd gen camaro's, and caprices......never a corvette like that.
