My '75 had a bladder that collapsed. Removed it and all is well. Perhaps his collapsed and, when he's looking in the tank, it looks like a baffle.
Or, he has a fuel-cell!
...mine's been out since '94 and has been perfect since. I know of several '75-'77 owners whose cars will only take 12-14 gallons of gas when completely empty. Mine was like that until the Fall of '94...
There was a small baffle on my 75's tank that just went around the sending unit float. Mine was broken loose and just bouncing around. I tack welded it back into place when I took the bladder out. I assume it's there to keep the sending unit float from getting knocked around. It's so small I'm not sure whether or not you'd consider it a true baffle.
sorry guys thats what i meant was the bladder i just called it a baffle, what is it for? and apparently i can take it out,but what was it for to begin with? thnx again bb
