Default A Pillar help

I am having trouble installing new A Pillars on my 74. I was able to take the old ones off easily, and the news went right on. But I can't seem to get the little velco like pads to stick to eachother. Is there any trick to doing this?
Thanks in advance.

It may not be you. It could be your new trim. Quality varies among providers.

I just did this the other day...literally, I think it was Sat.

My velcro tabs never stayed put, but, once in place, they are up against the windshield frame, just like they should be and don't budge.

Once they were screwed in with the 2 top screws and the bottom was in place, they are positioned just like the old ones. I have to wonder if the velcro tabs were there just for assembly purposes when the car was being built.
