Default Side Exhaust

My brother has a '69 Fathom Green coupe that was originally a side pipe car. Great car with the original block and 4 speed but has been modded a bit under the hood including headers and removal of the factory sidepipes.
He is thinking of redoing the exhaust with factory style sidepipes but doesn't think genuine factory equipment is mandated and neither do I.
Who has the best repro units as in closest to OEM look and quality?
Will sidepipes adapt to a set of headers or will he need to go to OEM style manifolds?
Thanks

Supposedly Paregon Reproductions bought the original molds from GM. Ecklers has the hood molds. If I were looking for a set I would buy from them. All other vendors buy the covers from Paregon.

They ain't cheap but the best.

Thanks. Cheap ain't in my vocabulary on this 'cause it's my brother's money.
Pardon my ignorance on this as I am a C4 guy but what do you mean about "Hood molds?"

Ecklers bought all the original hood molds (stock, LT-1/big block and the L-88 hoods) from GM.

Even the Eckler's repro's are pricey. Repro mufflers are $499.99 a pair in aluminized and $729.99 a pair in stainless.

Side exhaust covers are $2249.99 for the pair.

Check out Corvete Central. They do a good job on exhaust systems. I believe I saw the complete sidepipe system for $2499. Shipping is $20 on complete exhaust systems and if you watch the website and the forum they have a lot of 10% off sales...
Best of luck...Mark
