That's his Corvette Time Capsule. He's going to un-crate it in 2019 and sell it for $$$$. Initially, it was hermetically sealed, but the blue tarp blew away.
Hey that's my car! The local township has an ordnance that says you can't have more than one unregistered vehicle on your lot. unregistered vehicles need to be in an inclosed building. So I put it in the woodshed (mostly as a joke) and screwed scrap plexiglass over the sides (Shark tank). At the time it had a severely rusted frame and wasn't roadworthy. I have three other C3s and space is at a premium. Yes, the kids have a clubhouse over the woodshed.

So how did you get it in? Take the boards off one end?

Seriously???
Thats way cool!, That pic went around here a while ago, probably before you were a member, We were wondering :-D
So how did you get it in? Take the boards off one end?
Yes , the end toward the rear of the car . I took one post out , sawalled the T-11 and drove it up my car ramps. then nailed the boards back on the end. took a total of less than two hours. (about 8 beers)

That's a good rate, four beers an hour AND finishing the project.
What are your plans for that car? If it has a badly rusted frame are you planning a frame off to a new frame?
I gave the car to my son. It's getting the frame welded. I know it's the not the proper way to restore a Corvette but I doubt this will ever be a highly valuable car. It could still someday have the frame replaced. For now it's getting welded and driven.

Lucky for your son. I wish my pops had given me a few of his cars...
Just did a quick load calc on your platform there, figuring 2x8 side beams at 16' span with a post in the middle and car weight of 3600 lbs. Surprised me, but if your side beams are double 2x8, bearing on top of the posts, you're very close but OK. However, if those are only single beams, as it appears in the photo, you are way way overloaded on those beams! Better get some more bearing under them at the wheels or you may well end up with more problems than just a rusty frame! (If they are 2x10 it's not as bad, but still overspanned.)
Neat idea to keep them blankety-blank code enforcement jerks off your back, though.

Yes , It was way overloaded. You can probably notice the center of beam being pushed into the 4x4 post. This was temperary short term storage. That shed is gone now a permanent two car garage is now being completed.
