As I'm looking for a corvette I see ads talking about all sorts of documentation.
Tank sticker - This looks pretty straight forward.
Window sticker - Also looks pretty straight forward.
POP - I've seen pictures of the POP in ads, but I am not sure what information can be gotten from it and how to decode this information.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. An example with a picture would be perfect.

Protect-O-Plate. Most of the AIMs show the plate, how it was to be stamped, and what information went on it in what position.
The plate was stamped with partial information on the assembly line and accompanied the car to its new owner. At the dealership as part of dealer prep, the new owner's personal information was added to the plate for warranty purposes.
Stamped metal card, attached to warranty book. Included original owners name and address, VIN, engine code (date/use code), tranny serial, carb. mfg.
Perhaps more than the tank sticker, an original POP is golden identification, as it ties the engine/trans options to the VIN, and provides line of ownership information as well.
Apparently these can be reproduced at substantial cost, and detectable by experts.
The best book you could possibly buy for your car. They're not cheap, around $130 but worth every penny. There are re-prints on Ebay for $59. That book WILL get dirty (oil, grease, anti seize) so you might want to buy a cheaper reprint
Designer Imagines A Corvette That Looks More Like a Corvette Than the Corvette
