I've always been a c2/c3 guy. I'm 58, old school and I like something I can work on. Just spent 3 yrs doing a frame off on a 73 and I really like it, drove it 3000 miles on vacation in September. I have driven several c4 and was not impressed. However, today I drove a 99 c5, 6 spd with some minor mods. Damn I love that car, I'm gonna have to figure a way to get one--and keep the 73. If the wife drives it she well want to sell the c3 and buy a c5 or c6.
Same thing happened to me. I drove a 2000 MN6 and that was it I had to own it. The C5 cost me my C4 and a 1997 Camaro SS but it was well worth it! I still have my C3 looks great sitting in the garage next to the C5. Good luck to you!
Not far behind you. 56 years old and love working on my 75. Traded a 95 for it. Wife needs something reliable to drive so she takes the 05 C6 MN6 Z51 to work every day. I'm relagated to the Dodge Dakota PU when the 75 needs TLC or when it rains.

Wait until you drive a C6, damn nice car and a great ride!
I have a 79, but am hooked on a C-6 convertible with a 6 speed. Something to work towards I guess. I'll have to sell something to make room for it though.
I also thought a C5 would cost me my C3 - but after about 9 months, successfully convinced the wife that they are two different cars, plus the C5's are becoming very affordable. Now have a C5 in the garage next to my '78.

I just drove my friend Jamie Slick (forum member) C6 vert last weekend. Man that car is sweet. Top up or top down, very nice, smooth, quiet cruiser, and will scream when you get on the loud pedal. Very, very nice car. I am glad I just bought a new truck or I might be out looking at new vettes.

Yup---your toast. My husband got his 84 almost 4 years ago and has been pleasantly happy with his car. My daughter was left a 76 by her grandfather---we are rebuilding it for her Senior project. I recently (almost 2 months ago) got a 99 coupe---we are now looking to sell the C4 becaue my husband loves my car and after driving it---so does my daughter..Yup---toast---sorry.

Similar thing happened to me. I've driven the C5 in the past but it had been a while. Back in September I drove my friends '04 Z06 with minor mods at the time (around 470 RWHP now ). Now I know I'll have to get one someday...hopefully the '69 will still be around to share the garage with it
[QUOTE=Kalway]Little note to 0013, might wanna blur out the license plates on your vettes there. Safety precaution.

Definitely a good idea Kalway - but its not a valid tag anyway, I put it on for pictures, cruse-ins, and shows.
Thanks
I am really glad that I do not have to placate my wife when it comes to my toys. She's got her caddy and tahoe and I've got my 76 & 96 and a Ford (OMG) DD. (& if I find another C3 I like for the roght price, I'm getting it too! (& I'm 59)
