Are these original?
While taking apart the front suspension on the 72 I found an alum spacer in the spring pocket of each lower control arm...are these original or some one installed them?
I know my 81 doesnt have them, but not sure if the earlier ones did.
also...when installing the springs....smaller spacing of coil goes to top or bottom?

No spacers in my 71' or 78'. Sounds like aftermarket variable rate springs if one end has closer coils than the other.
