just wanted to let everyone know...
I have had alot of wonderful compliments on my car since I have been here, so I wanted to make sure everyone gets a shot at it now that it is on the selling block. It will only be up for sale until sunday nov.
19th...if it does not go by then, I am keeping it and abandoning other plans I have in the works which are not currently possible without selling the vette.
I realize this is not the for sale section, but many people have inquired about buying my car the last 2 years, and they are not necessarily actively looking for vettes right now. Since time is of the essence on this deal, I wanted to make sure it was visible to those not visiting the for sale section. I hope I am not breaking any rules.
thanks, Dave

spent the last two days stripping all the zaino, clay bar'd the car, menzerna intensive polish to get rid of a few swirls, zaino fusion twice, z5 twice, will add a few layers of z2 tomorrow.
next week I will hit every single nook and cranny...this car will be show ready for whoever buys it. if I keep it, well, im done with hardcore detailing until spring lol.

Dave,
I cannot imagine selling this car after the work you have into it and how excellent it turned out. I just finished restoring my 68 and looking at your 69 and it's condition, it seems sacrilege to sell it. If I had this car and sold it I know that someday I would search for it and buy it back no matter what the price. I doubt that you could replace it even if you could spend much more than your selling yours for since they are just getting harder to find in this condition. I have been in this situation many years ago and someone wanted to buy my car for much more than it was worth and that was BEFORE I completely restored it and I couldn't part with it despite the fact that I desperately needed money due to pending divorce.
Please don't take this the wrong way, but I hope you are unsuccessful in selling it. It's to nice to give up.
Kurt

thanks Kurt!
It certainly wont break my heart to keep it...I am just going to let fate decide my course. 9 more days and the car stays with me.
I would ask that the new buyer give me first right to buy it back if they sell though.
if it does stay with me, I am putting the original motor on a stand(for the second time in its life...it has only been in the car about 10 years of its existence. a 427 was in its place for about 25 years while the original was stored away)
I will drop in the 383 stroker with aluminum world product heads pushing about 425 horse/450 torque I have sitting here. has a bad rod bearing, probably get the lower end rebuilt. The car would be a mid 12 second runner and no worries about throwing a rod through the original block.
