>>But if I don't leave a hacksawed radiator shroud, cardboard/duct tape defrost vent connection and occasional use of twine as a hose hanger, what will the next generation of C3 owners have to send pictures and comment about<<
===================================

Why, that the Plasma Flux Distributor was wired backwards, or the Matter/Antimatter Intermix chamber had the thermostat installed upsidedown!

I did that on one of my caliper pads. While changing pads, my then wife came out in the garage to complain about something. Being distracted I actually inserted one of the pads backward. I didn't notice anything wrong until a few months I was wondering about brake squeel and noticed my rotor had a lot ridges ground into it. I discovered the reversed pad. I replaced it with a new pad, didn't remove the rotor for machining and it worked fine for several years. I've since put in a new rotor.

I bought a 75 once that had rubber tubes from the headlights to the drivers side seat. The previous owner could not get the headlights to raise or lower so he would blow on the appropriate tube to raise or lower his lights.....Long live Bubba

I'm pretty sure I'm gonna be replacing Bubba Brand Brakes when I get into it.

Yeah, I got a couple different cars for daily transportation. There's no way to carry out the type of repairs this car's required with the engine installed. It's on a stand, I'm about to start the reassembly anytime.
