Oil Pan Drain Plug Question???
On a SB, where is is the oil drain plug located? On the drivers side? Or centered in the backside (facing the rear od the car) ? That's where the plug is for this 72. And the plug is bigger than what I remember for sbc's!!!
Mark
I've never owned a big block, but of the two 70's and 71 that I've owned all of the drain plugs were centered on the back of the oil pan. I think that is where it should be located on stock oil pans for early sharks.

Yeah, yeah, yeah...thanks...
On a side note put a FWD car on the rack, 2 pans side by side, cast aluminum and the average guy would problably drain the tranny!!
Thanks to all who replied. I was trying to determine if my oil pan was original. Couldn't find and pics of the Vette pans.....looks like the pan is original.
