This winters' project is going to include a new leather interior
& new top for my '72 roadster. My question is who is considered
to have have the best product in these areas. Thanks.
If you have unlimited funds I agree Al Knock is the best...
If you are on a budget Willcox is where its at.
Willcox has never let me down.
personally, i believe that wilcox is the best overall. they will supply products from corvette america and other major manufacterers at great prices. i bought everything (and i do mean everything, wall to wall, ceiling to floor, firewall out) that could be purchased new for my interior restoration which is about to begin from willcox and they were extremely professional, knowledgeable and helpful in my dealings with them.
All the other vendors will sell Corvette America parts as there is more profit in it for them. The Corvette America products are good but if you put them side by side with Al Knoch pieces you can tell the difference right away. The Knoch carpet is more dense than ACC carpet and a better sheen, the foam density on the seat covers and door panels is much better on the Knoch pieces. You can push in on the Corvette America door panels and feel the inferior foam, same with their seat covers. They look fine but don't "feel" right. The Knoch pieces "feel" like the OEM parts. Again, without them side by side you probably wouldn't understand.
