The large diameter circular gasket for the front Spindle/Hub should be a generic part and available at the local autoparts. Has anyone input their experience on this? thanks
I realized I didn't have mine this weekend while I was finishing the front end on my chassis rebuild. The old ones were shot, but almost seems like you could fab up your own with the right thickness of gasket material. I needed a couple of other small items as well, so I went ahead and ordered them from Zip.

I think he is referring to the "seal" between the spindle and dust shield.
It is a donut-shaped paper gasket. I'm guilty of buying these from
a catalog source, but they could be easily cut from gasket paper.
A bead of RTV would work fine, also.
NH - yes - that's the one.... ALl worst case scenario - I could actually use the old one - its not seen and is 90% intact. BUT - just thought there would be more parts like this (generic multi-model/years) available...
Just FYI - I reconsidered and ended up using my old gaskets - I cleaned them up and they looked darn good. I did go to the auto parts and got some rubbery looking style gasket material, but it was only half as think as my original. I did not want to cut out 4 of em. Its all good.
Good tip - still having trouble with the torques on the total front wheel assembly. I have numerous books - different books, different specs, some missing.... argh !
