Default New to forum!

Hi everybody. I am new to your great forum and already have found alot of info on the project that I started last night. I wanted to get a winter project so I purchased a 82 Vette that I am going to do a frame off restoration. The car came with a set of Hooker sidepipes and headers that I am going to put up for sale soon.

Also I have a old set of door panels that I have no use for, they are pretty rough. Any ideas on what I should do with these?

I do have a few pictures but I need some help posting them. Can I actually post pics or do I need to have them on a photobucket type of site and just post the link?

Yeah. You'll need a host website. I use photobucket.

I pulled the headers and sidepipes off last night because I would like to put different exaust on. As for the condition of the sidepipes they are in pretty good condition but the headers have some rust and are discolored from the heat. You would not be able to see the discoloration from the outside of the car it wound be hidden in the engine compartment. We are in the process of cleaning them up right now to see how they look before sell them. They do have all of the mounting hardware with them.

Default I expected to see worse in the photo...

Car looks pretty good - is a frame-off really needed? Maybe get it running like you want and evaluate from there...?

You are probably right; I could probably get by without a frame off but the frame is pretty rusty so I would like to paint it. Also the motor is bad so I am pulling it so i can rebuild it and I already have 80% of the interior out so it should not be too bad to pull the body off. I bought this car for my boys (9 & 14) and I to rebuild this winter so I would like for them to get the full effect. The last car I did was a Shell Valley AC Cobra with a heavy modded small block Chevy in it. That was about 5 years ago so the boys did not get to work on it much, hopefully they will be able to do alot on this build

I agree that the pipes are awesome but I want to get the car back to as original as possible. I had sidepipes on my AC Cobra replica and covered sidepipes on my Viper and I loved them but they sure were loud; but it might be because of the large race bullet mufflers(not street legal) that I put on the Viper
