Trying To Get My Interior Back To Its Stock Condition. The Interior Trim Pieces Have Been Dyed [painted?] Red And Would Like To Get Them Back To There Doe Skin Color..any Tried To Re Dye Over Another Color ?
I'll tell you,..the new Krylon Fusion interior/plastic paint in rattle cans is great. I'd strip the old paint off with lacqer thinner. Then coat with the Fusion. O'Reilly's has it,..about $6-7 a can.
The Fusion stuff sticks like crazy and dries hard,..as good as any dyes I've used.
i had to redye the leather on my steering wheel...as a matter of fact i just did it this morning.
i went to a local shoe repair shop and bought a can of dye. i have smoke gray interior, and i was able to match the paint exactly.

Wow, that capitalizing the first letter of every single word just looks like a test for some kind of psychosis or something...
Don't bother with that expensive dye that the majors want to sell you. Go by your parts house & get the dye there. Krylon is great at 1/2 the price & no shipping.
I tried dying over a previously dyed center console...All I did was clean very well...it came out crappy. I suggest following on a previous recommendation and prep it really good.
