Yes! It's true! I finally got to spend some time with her alone, and after I pulled the carpet and all the trim out, I found almost zero rust.(only minor suface rust)
I couldn't believe it. I figure now I'll take a wire wheel to all the metal to clean off the old glue, paint and dirt, and the squirt a coat of epoxy primer all over the inside.
BTW- Any suggestions from you fella's that have been here already would be great.

You got lucky? C3 owners are different i guess.

I get the creeps when i see a car torn apart like that, thinking about the thousands of hours that will go into putting it back together.

But if that's what does it for you, have fun.

My son and I just saw these pictures and said "Remember when it looked like that!" You've got plenty to do this winter. I ended up with a bushel basket full of wires that were no longer needed. Good luck!

Been there.......Take your time and think it through. You'll probably need more parts than you are aware of but better to do it now than rip it apart again later.

Don't ask me how I know

What do you guys think?

Be sure to check the area underneath the upper fender bonding brackets. It is a notorious spot for birdcage rust to begin.

What are you guys using to remove the old glue that is stuck to the fiberglass? I have some small sections of carpet and glue that did not come out with the carpet.

Dean,
Now I understand what you meant by "she's in pieces". Good luck there, she sure will be needing your undivided time.

I wonder if you could use a wire wheel on a high speed drill and get it done quicker? Any one try it this way?
