Default What is this Vette worth?

I found this (I think) 1975 Corvette sitting in the back of an abandoned yard. It is uncovered and has sat in the weather for years and years. I looked up the owner of the land and am in the process of trying to contact them, but I figured I would get your opinions before going any further. The interior is actually in pretty good shape and I think the original motor/trans is there. I could not find a VIN identification link IS THIS WORTH IT? I believe the VIN # is 1Z37TSS433518, but am not sure Please check out the following links for pictures:

a 73? Not as much as it would cost to restore it. Good luck.

Looks like a 1973
As is it's worth about $200.00. Prolly take about $25,000.00 to fix it.
But if there is rust,(and there will be ), just walk away

It is worth more than 0. But it is not worth restoring. The rust showing at the w/s post suggests that the birdcage is shot. Utah car, the frame is probably shot too.

It sounds like you are wanting a car to fix up and use. Forget that, the car should be used for parting out.

I feared that you guys would tell me that, but the rust underneath had me concerned as well, so it looks like I'll just let the dream die.

Anyone want to trade? I'll trade my 78 Silver Annivesary Edition that has a zz502 motor, PLUS the original L82 350 in case you want to go back to original, for a 68-77. How can you go wrong?¿?

I dunno, my 82 was a basket case when I bought it. It was straight but had sat for at least 10 years. Mine didn't have any rust though. I gave $2200 for it.

I spent around $14000 on mine (including the price of the car) and even though it isn't back to original specs....it has a new brake system, engine, interior, paintjob, glass, rubber, etc. This was doing all the work myself except the paintjob.

I say if you can verify there is no birdcage rust and be 100% sure there isn't. And the owner takes an offer of $1500 - 2000 for it, I say go for it.

Worst case scenerio you can part it out No sense in it completly rotting out....someone could use the parts to fix thiers. It looks like an original car.

I know I would do it in a heartbeat

I SAY: IF HE PAYS YOU $1500-$2000 to take it you should
be patient, there are plenty of other project cars around that need a lot less then that car appears to need !!

It's a Utah car! You know, one of the places the roads get salted. Sitting for years outside in a place that gets snow. I've have spent enough time in Utah to know what happens to cars there.

See the pictures? You can tell it has birdcage rust. Most likely a lot of frame rust too.

Basket case to be parted out. Sell all the good parts on Ebay.

However, you might be able to get that $1500 - 2000 or more back by parting it out. But it would take time and effort.
