Just move into an older home and I want to hook my compressor up temporarily to do some carpenter work. My compressor calls for 240/20amp can I piggy back off my 240/30amp dryer outlet until I get my garage organized? Garage is full of furniture and my vette is buried.
forgot to mention:
I bought the plug at HomeDepot, needed the expensive 3-prong style... the plug was about $15 .... well, I guess I'll survive the expense but I don't think I got a lot for the money
That way you have to unplug the dryer to plug the compressor in... that way the wife cannot accidently start the dryer while the compressor runs....
