My intake Manifold has only 1 Port for Vacuum. It is currently being used for the brake power booster. I want to switch my HEI vacuum control over to manifold instead of ported vac.. Is there such a thing as a fitting with 2 ports on it that would accomplish this??
Any port on the carburetor under the throttle blades will be full vacuum, over the throttle blades is ported. If you are running the stock carb the fuul vacuum port would be on the lower right looking at the carb.I believe its the same on an Edelbrock and just look for a vacuum source on the baseplate of a Holley.
I wonder if I can just run a "T" connector from the single port that I have and then hoses to the 2 sources....
I've been removing the T's - my experience has been that they create lags and reduce the vaccum below what the attached device is looking for. When I first got my 76, EVERYTHING tas T'd from the single connection on the rear of a BG Speed Demon and nothing worked right - lights, PCV, brakes, transmission modulator.....
The 76 AIM shows a dual fitting in the intake manifold and the part Xakk links to should work, though all of the carbs I've seen have both ported and manifold vac connections that can be used direct (without T)for distributor advance.
