Last night we had the second-heaviest 24-hour snowfall total in city history...14"-19" depending on where you measure in my yard. The interstate and major federal highways in the area are shut down, businesses are closed, and the University of Missouri has called off classes for only the third or fourth time in 167 years.

hi batman ...........just curious why you & others cover your plates in pics ? dont people see your plates everyday when you drive ? forgive me as i had to ask as i never understood that ? ZIXXX PACKER.....
No snow in Houston, but dipped below freezing. It was cold enough this morning that the choke never warmed up enough in 20 miles to drop all the way to the lowest idle cam.
I also found an air leak under the windshield - and up to now I thought I just had good flow through ventilation

Probably dosen't want any of us C3 cronies dropping in unexpectedly to spong. Besides, you never know about you wiseguys up there in NY
Batman, you better go over and check on Durango, He might be a substitue snowman if he wasn't careful I hear they closed I70 out by you. We got hit, but nowhere near as bad as you guys
Just shy of eight inches in western Chicagoland this morning. Hopefully, it will melt within a few days. But the BlueL36 still stays wrapped up for a winter's rest.

70 is still closed to everything but emergency vehicles. 63 and 54 were closed, but I haven't heard anything new. The local ambulances couldn't move, the paramedics are using 4x4 SUVs to get people to the hospitals.
I think Matt got home before I did last night. That pile on the Jeep's roof is only what formed after the body cooled off...and i got home around 8:30 pm.
Thats funny because I knew this person that moved to Missouri, Mountainview, I think , to escape the cold and snow of upstate New York,,,, besides that they had to spend time in the storm celler during tornado season,,,, Thats karma for ya,,,,Peace,,,Moosie

Basically, if you have committed a list of crimes, you don't want the LEOs on the site to spot your plates!!

We got about 2 inches of ice and 2 to 6 inches of snow on top of that, south of you. Lots of power outages by 7am yesterday (thursday) morning. And the great city of Springfield didn't close schools. Even with several of the school having no electricity. They let them out a bit early, tho, and no school today. Front page apology from the Super of schools in today's paper. The colleges are all closed as well. It's bright and sunny now but still very cold.
Yeah...us midwesterners took it on the chin with this one. Over 12" fell in northern Illinois last night & this AM. Schools closed and 60% of the employees stayed home. I live 5 miles from work so I'm here.

I've been giving 4x4 taxi rides to all my friends.
