I need to upload more photos with the 17/18 combo. Yours was one of the insperations for me to go the 17/18 combo. Still don't see how you get away running so low. I would tear the bottom end of the car out running that low.

I think I've been lucky so far, I'm going to raise the front about a 1/2" over the winter, I'm still debating on flares and wider wheels and tires.

Noooooo! Don't touch it. It's perfect. It's a Corvette Forum treasure and your not allowed to change the ride height without our approval. Just slow way down for speed bumps, and stay away from steep driveways. Mess with it, and I'll be forced to confiscate the car, in the interest of national Not Correctly Restored Corvette Forum security. War-Low Rider song qued up here.

I would not change a thing. The ride height issue maybe but your car looks awesome the way it is. If you do change keep us informed. I know, always looking for something different or better

If you sell your combo, please get ahold of me first. I love your setup and will be going that route as soon as I can afford it.

Love your Vette.I'm partial to red 73's. What brand of tire and size do you have? I have 17's on both end need something different.

Great looking 73. Fronts are 17x8s with Michelin 245/40s Pilot Sports, the rears are 18x10s with Michelin 285/35 Pilot Sports.

Gets old real fast, I had mine very low for a couple of months a few years ago. You have to plan where you are going to go, you can't just drive into any parking lot, you gotta do a fly by first, kinda like a bush pilot prior to landing Then you gotta make sure you can get out, because the angle can be different on the way out from what it was on the way in.

Obviously don't get caught on road with speedbumps, or railway tracks, and the final straw was scrubbing the front air dam over little normal dips in the road. It looked real cool but now I don't worry too much as I can go just about anywhere, even over speed bumps if I really have to but rarely do anyhow

What did you do with those ol' 15" wheels and tires? You looking for a place to toss them?

Willie - I can't spring for new trailing arms. You think I could get away with this combo using the VBP rear mono leaf?

Front - 17x8 4" BS 255/45/17
Rear - 18x8 4" BS 275/40/18

I'm pretty sure he used a white paint pen to make the letters on his tires...guess anyone with a steady hand could do the same

I made my own stencil from the tires and aribrushed them with tire marking paint, the same way goodyear and co do with their racing tires.
Its pretty tough, stays on for a while.
