Default Cheap TTII copies?

Take a look see and tell me whatcha think. If these will fit, they'll most likely be what I'll buy in the next few months.

They look pretty sharp! I like the black on them and not a bad price. I would just be worried about quality.............

I'm more worried about fit. I've been desperately trying to find a way to get good traction without sacrificing the wheel bearing durability. Sure I could use adapters to make any wheel fit, but I want performance, not fancy looks. Sure TTIIs fit, but for those + tires you're well over $1000. So now I'm on the hunt to find inexpensive rims that will fit without adapters and not wear out the bearings.

You won't need adapters, I have a set of these in chrome just like this that I got from ebay for $569 shipped. 17 x 8 with 4-1/2" BS.

The only thing you will need to do is relocate your parking brake bracket to the top of the trailing arm.....very easy to do. I ended up grinding off my old one and purchasing new brackets and welding them myself.

As far as quality they look pretty good and I haven't had any peeling issues yet and they have been on my car for six months. Mine even came with cross flag emblems in the center so it goes with the car.

Sweet! I may have found the ticket to better handling inexpensively then.

I'll talk to the corvette shop this friday about what they can do about relocating the parking brake cable bracket.

The "replica" brand that DiscoutTire sells seems to be good quality, they also make the ZR1 style 11x17 rims that many run on their Fbodies.

I don't understand why you say that a spacer increases bearing wear ?? There's no difference between mounting a 17x8 rim with 4" BS and a 17x8 rim with 6" BS and a 2" spacer... the rim will be positioned in the same location.

Now, if you (like me) use a 15x8 rim with 4"BS AND add a 2"spacer then yes.... you'll have to replace the bearings more often....

From my understanding, using adapters and such affect the geometry and make the bearings wear out faster. Correct me if I'm wrong, though.

You can use a 3" adapter to bring a rim with 7" BS out to where the same rim with 4" BS would be. That's the same as if the adapter was part of the rim.... the rim ends up in the same location...

Those wheels came up when I did a search for 5 x 4.75 lugs. Worst case scenario, replace the lugs with slightly longer ones. That takes a whole 10 minutes per wheel.

Mine are 5 x 4.75 w/ 4.5" BS. They were advertised for 1967-1982 Camaro.

I didn't buy them through discount tire, It's been a while but it's one of those power sellers on ebay. They sell a lot of stock style corvette and camaro wheels.
