CNV is like buying anywhere, if you do your reearch and check it out in person, you will be fine.
We bought our 65 ragtop from CNV three years ago, found it on their site, it was exactly what we were looking for.
Watched the forty five minute video they sent, but still flew out to eye ball the car before purchase. We were allowed to test drive unescorted and use their lift for inspection.
There were a few small items that need to be addressed, but after negotiations, a deal was struck. Car was delivered as promise, zero problems since.

It was the red 74 4-speed that caught my eye. I'm looking for a nice driver C3 with no rust. With the chrome bumper cars getting a bit expensive I've been looking at 74-77. Since I'm located abroad and people being wary due to all the scams, it might be easier to deal with a company that has done export before.

I have never bought a car from them. I purchase my parts from them all the time. G.reat service , good price, no problem making exchanges, and everyone is always friendly. Thats been my experiance.
