Yep, thats just about the way mine sat from the factory. Off center and pointing towards the passenger headlight. I left my motor mounts loose and slotted my tranny crossmember and pulled it "almost" into alignment. The engine sits offset to the passenger side anyway but the "off-center line" look can be adjusted. This is very common with our cars, just hard to see when the hood is up cause it blocks the straight on view. I couldn't get mine completely straight because the driveshaft would have contacted the tunnel. Makes it tricky when your building a custom hood.

How did i know you would show & put your 2 cents in regarding MY post & noone elses ? HUMMMMMMMMM ?
Do you have tunnel vision?
Vision impairments must be going around. I'd swear that in your profile it used to say that you was a member from around August\September this year?
I guess we'll have to live with our impairments.
If you look at the engine position in our cars they are all mounted towards the pass side.
(I read his info in a magazine article [Car craft, Hot Rod, or other,] so take it for what it is worth).
Apparently, back in the day someone noticed and asked GM WTF? What GM said the reason was, and the real reason, are two different things:
GM said it improved the balance, therefore improving handling performance. Typical BS answer from engineer and general public is happy.
Real Answer -- apparently, poor planning on the part of design engineers lead to mounting the engines to the right allowing necessary clearance for the steering anchor/box.
