It's be cheaper to attach some sacrificial titanium blocks at the low points. You'ld get real perty white sparks then when you scraped
I think you're right thought Matt, I reckon it would cost a mint...
I saw a guy with spark blocks catch himself on fire. His engine was blowing unburned fuel through the exhaust, and the sparks caught it. First the butt of his car caught, then the rubber fuel lines. Boom...man I wish I had a vid of that.
It's a good thing they don't have any speed bumps in New York huh? Hey, is it really that hard to find parking in the city?
Not a lot of speed bumps for me to deal with where I live. Most speed bumps are in parking lots or driveways. I have no problem with parking my Suburban in downtown Rochester while I'm at work. You can see that there is enough room for me to drive over a small rodent and only burn the hair on it's back. Rod
Rod....did you ever get a 4 wheel or front wheel alignment?? Mine is so low, i couldn't find a shop around here where i could get it on the rack..i even tried using boards. So i opted for the do it yourself alignment...not that great..but i'm changing front springs here in a few weeks so i can get a real alignment done.

I'll bet you sure fear and loath pot holes though. I swerve them in my Vette with my low side pipes too.
Beautiful car Rod! Is it just me tho or is the rear wheel shifted slightly forward in the wheel well? I'm not criticizing; I'm asking because I've noticed the exact same thing on the left rear on my Vette - it looks like the wheel is not quite centered! Anybody else ever notice that on their Vettes?

i have to agree with Durango_boy that it's normal. never did notice it until Kid Vette mentioned it.
here is a recent shot for comparison:
OK, I'm starting to feel better. I always thought there was something wrong with my Vette. Maybe its the way the factory intended. I'm a toolmaker by trade so I'm always noticing when things aren't aligned, straight, square etc. Its a curse.
There have been a few threads on air bag suspension for C3s, and while the front would not be that hard...the general consensus was that the rear would have to be changed to a coil setup. While that's fine for a skilled fabricator...if someone were to have their C3 converted to rear coils or air bags it would cost a LOT. Thoughts?
Yep i've called air-ride tech...the guy was like "uhhhhh how much $$$ ya got"
