Bill, your car looks absolutely killer, can't wait to see it complete. What year is it? I noticed the clean looking bumpers without the ugly bumper guards, something that I wish I had on my 77.
How the hell did that Honda Accord sneak in there? Or is it a little lexus? Get rid of it before one of the neighbors sees it.
Oh, my heart!!!
No, just kidding own2vettes,
it's just a good thing that the better half doesn't read these posts.
She's a good sport about my car crazyiness, and for that I should be thankful. We share the GS300 on the daily stuff, afterall, it's Colorado, we need the 4 wheel drive.
Beautiful job! Putting it back together and getting new parts by the door from UPS several times a week is like Christmas! The Color is Beautiful! Please post more pics as you go!
Dude, anyone that pays that price after that, got ripped off. I don't care what anyone says about "quality" paint jobs. Many of the finest were doen for 4 to 5K.

It looks awesome, but damnnnnnnnn........
Hi MsVetteMan, you are absolutely right.
Paying 9k for this paint makes no sense at all. In my slight, and very slight defense, you should know this car is my "childhood sweetheart". So, there are a, b, c, and so on paint jobs. I have no sound reasoning for this, but I'm here to tell you, this paint job is REALLY nice!!!!
I have no other excuses.
I got what I wanted. Most of the trim is on now. I'll send you a pic or two soon.

I can relate to the price and the time frame... Quality materials are over 1200 bucks, strip the old paint..hours!! Block and fill, and block the body again. Now lets shoot some primer. Minor fill and block again. Shoot primer one more time, block and seal. Shoot B/C C/C, wet sand w/ 1000 to 2000...now 3 stage buff & Polish. In between thes shoots are hours of masking.... I probably had 500 bucks alone in masking materials, sandpaper (wet & dry) laquer thinners ect ect....
Time frame for a professional painter...heck he's probably back logged!! On top of that...these cars need to sit in primer for a while and observe!!!! big time!!! Muddy
