77 t-tops

A friend will give me his pair of 1977 f/g t-tops if I can get them to install on my 1980 model. Do they sell the hardware to convert the tops to the '80
cars???

Do you have glass tops for you 80? If so, the 77s won't help you because the mounting hardware is different. If you change out the hardware to mount the '77s, you won't be able to run your glass tops.

Tried changing mine had a 80 with older tops,Tried changing body mounts to old style and the holes are different spacing on the body so even just changing mounts require body mods. Opted to wait for warmer weather and try again or spend the money for tops that really fit.

Is there any way to take the mounting hardware off a bad set of 80 tops and install those on a pair of 77 tops in fine shape?

Not without running the risk of damaging the '77 tops trying to install the later hardware. Get the AIM and take a look at how the tops were assembled.
