Default Custom mirrors

What outside mirrors have some of you used other than stock, but still using stock holes? I went to the hot rod shop and looked through 20 differant kinds, can't get them to mount clean. Will like a 77 sport fit,is it plastic, prefer metal. Any billet?

i shaved my mirrors and bought some kawasaki tear mirrors to mount on the pillars up high......

finding good looking mirrors is hard...especially to flow with the c3 curves

I've made a couple of pairs...

one is a billet/chrome mirror using small harley "golf club" mirrors

and also a pair of F1 style mirrors

I will be selling both pairs as I have some vintage talbot style to goon after the 25th.

Nick, How much for the mirrors? Either set. You have a PM. Thanks, Rod

Thats exactly what I was trying to do, use a set of v-twins and adapt.I already have the holes and fresh paint,so must mount there. What base did you use? Dosn't anybody make custom parts for vettes or do we have to devise things...

I made my own mounts, just some billet aluminum plate.

I haven't seen any thing cutom for ours that will fit in the stock holes. You have the choice of the factory chrome ones or the later 70's/80's sport mirrors.

I was thinking of picking up a pair of 81 sport mirrors the medal ones. Strip the paint & have them chromed. I think that would look cool.

I found some at a wrecking yard, they don't sell repro 77/80 sport mirrors anymore. They mount from inside the door, were the 68 mounts from outside, not that big of a deal,I don't want to drill out the original holes though...still looking..

A few guys have found Honda Del Sol mirrors to be a cool look. Seem to mount easily and the fold like most modern mirrors do.

I saw bullet-style mirrors on a custom C3. They looked real natural, and I'm currently planning on putting a pair on mine...
